Ramadhan Gem – Day 13

Rasulallah s.a.w. stated,
“Indeed Allah does not look at your figures, nor at your appearances,
but rather He looks at your hearts (and deeds – in another narration).” [1][2]

Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen (rahimahullah) mentioned:
“Allah does not look to His servants,
whether their bodies are big or small, or healthy or ill
And He does not look at their appearances, are they beautiful or not
And He does not look at lineages, are they noble or otherwise
And He does not look to your wealth (wealthy or in poverty)
He does not look to any of these factors at all
For indeed there is no connection between you and your Rabb except through Taqwa
So whomsoever has greater taqwa of Allah is closer to Allah, and is more honorable in the sight of Allah.

So do not take pride in your wealth
or your beauty
or your body
or children
or your palaces
or your cars
or anything from the worldly affairs
Rather, if Allah gives you success in achieving Taqwa, then that is from the blessing of Allah upon you, so thank Allah and praise Him for that.”
