Don’t Forget About Having Good Akhlaq!

Do you know who is bankrupt? It is the one who will come on the Day of Judgment, who never missed his/her salah, fasting and did a lot of charity, but he/she insulted a person, slandered someone, consumed wealth illegally, shed blood, and beat others. [1]

So here’s the warning: It’s not about the many good deeds that we do, because the reward is not ours until the deeds are accepted by Allah, and we don’t even know for sure if those good deeds have been accepted in the first place. Never be proud of the amount of our good deeds, but take extra care, take extra care, and again, take extra care of our akhlaq for Rasulallah s.a.w. said:

“By his good character,
a believer will attain the degree
of one who prays during the night and fasts during the day.” [2]

It’s all about having good akhlaq. This is a reminder for me foremost and then to others.
