Whosoever believes in Allah, He guides his heart….
[At-Taghabun 64:11]

Verily, those who believe and do deeds of righteousness,
their Rabb will guide them through their Faith.
[Yunus 10:9]

In an authentic hadith, Rasulallah s.a.w. said that those who are pleased with Allah as his Rabb, Islam as his religion, and Muhammad s.a.w. as his Prophet, then he has tasted the sweetness of iman. [Sahih Muslim].

What we can derive from the above 2 ayat and hadith is that we have to FIRST BELIEVE in order to reap its benefits. When we believe, Allah s.w.t. will guide and facilitate us to find the correct ways and paths towards Him – they will come easy to us. And once we have tasted the sweetness of iman, we will have no desire to return to where we once were.

“Whoever possesses the following 3 qualities will have the sweetness of faith:
1. The one to whom Allah and His Messenger becomes dearer than anything else
2. Who loves a person and he loves him only for Allah’s sake
3. Who hates to revert to disbelief as he hates to be thrown into the fire.”
[Sahih Bukhari]

“If anyone loves for Allah’s sake,
hates for Allah’s sake,
gives for Allah’s sake
and withholds for Allah’s sake,
he will have perfect faith.”
[Abu Dawud]
