verse5-poster-791x1024

No knowledge have they of such a thing nor had their fathers. Mighty is the word [kaburat kalimatan] that comes out of their mouths. They utter nothing but a lie.

Allah rejects the claim that He the Most High has a son. There is no such basis to what these people and their ancestors claim. Allah rejects by first saying that these people have no knowledge – and we know that speaking something without knowledge is prohibited. Secondly, He s.w.t. informs that this claim is very grave. And thirdly He mentions the level of repulsiveness of this claim, that it is a lie and contradicts the truth.

What grave, serious and enormous lie that they made up! Allah s.w.t. says in Surah Maryam:

The heavens are almost torn, and the earth is split asunder,
and the mountains fall in ruins, that they ascribe a son to the Most Gracious.
[Maryam 18:90-91]
