[Al-Fajr 89 : 27-30] The 3 Gifts

This is one of my favorite passages in the Qur’an:

(It will be said to the pious):
“O (you) the one in (complete) rest and satisfaction!
Come back to your Rabb, Well-pleased (yourself) and well-pleasing (unto Him)!
Enter you, then, among My (honored) slaves,
And enter you My Paradise!”
[Al-Fajr 89:27-30]

One of the greatest gifts of Jannah: Total calmness & relaxation. It is something that we can never truly have in this dunya, because there is always a need to chase or do more things that we think will satisfy us. But in Jannah, we will finally experience this eternal bliss.

What is this yearning that all nafs have? It is to meet Allah s.w.t. This is the first & most important gift. Even in this dunya we experience calmness in the remembrance of Allah. [Ar-Rad 13:28] So how will one be when he finally returns to Allah? Not only will we be pleased with Allah, but Allah will be pleased with us. Subhanallah, what an amazing gift.

Here’s another gift: to be in the company with other righteous slaves of Allah – beloved Rasulallah s.a.w., Ibrahim a.s., Abu Bakar As-Siddiq r.a. and the list goes on! There will be no signs that say “Prophets and Messengers only”.

Here’s the third gift: His Jannah. Note that Allah s.w.t. did not say “Enter Jannah”, He s.w.t. said “Enter MY Jannah” – it makes such a world of difference!

May Allah make us among those who will meet Allah in the best of state, and enter into the company of His beloved slaves, and His Paradise.
